Sorry to bring this thread back up, but I am looking at doing a very similar set up but can't seem to find where to buy bmw performance springs? Everywhere I see only sells the full kit. Who sells just the springs? Thanks!

Below are the part #'s that should help you help you locate them through an BMW dealer. BTW I'm in the process of doing the same exact set up but adding Dinan Camber Plates.
The bmw perf springs: 31336788893, fronts, each (so order 2) 33536788899, rears, each (so order 2) The bump stops are: 31331096099, fronts, each (so order 2) 33536788905, rears, each (so order 2) Last edited by 1fastbmw; 02-05-2011 at 09:38 AM.. |

Awesome Thanks 1fast!
Are these part numbers the same for all years? I have an 08 135 but im assuming the performance springs are all the same. Any one ever run these springs with the stock sport package shocks? I am curious if this is possible? If there are issues I will just get fsd's to be safe. I don't plan to track the car just looking to tighten things up and get a bit more aggressive look. My goal is to get the suspension set up before my new wheels come next month (arc-8 wheels from group buy). I can't wait. |

Anyone know how the performance/suspension would be with just the M3 sway bar and everything else being stock? I'm looking to minimize some body roll, don't want to do full suspension at this time. Any price quotes on the OEM M3 bar?
Thanks.

M2,
what was the cost for the parts for your suspension upgrade? Do you have the part numbers for each individual M3 part? Would it be cheaper to go with HP Autowerks' kit and add the subframe bushings, lower camber link, strut tower brace, sway bars, and toe link ($2,600 and dosen't include FSD's)? thanks |

I'm planning on starting out with the M3 bar and taking it to the track to see where to go from there. The M3 parts look pretty promising, and I might do that with some KW V2's. I will probably post a review when I'm done. I can say on my 370z (which was a lot stiffer than the 135i stock) felt totally different on the track with JUST upgraded sway bars. In town it's pretty noticeable when avoiding something in the road or carving through interstate on ramps. On a sporty coupe such as our 135 with a relatively soft suspension...I have a feeling the sway bar will make a big difference!! |

How much did the labor for this install cost?

I have to assume on top of the already highish cost of the parts, the labor for everything was probably atleast 2 days worth of time, and if you figure around 10-12 hours for everything, probably between $1100-1400 for labor??
Its def NOT a cheap mod setup for this car, no doubt the full M suspension swap has seriously benefitial results for this car, but id figure with all those parts plus labor, you're looking at around $4k total for something like this. Ouch |

Can anyone compare this setup to the topic of getting rid of the run flats or not?
I was thinking of switching to much better tires with more feel/grip but I've heard its a bad idea because the stock 135i sport package suspension expects the rigid sidewalls. How does this suspension setup react to changing your tires out?

Didn't realize the front sway bar in the PS kit wasn't the M3 one, good to know.
I think I'll start with the PS sway bar and switch to the M3 sway if I'm not happy with the handling. Car will be more of a daily driver anyway, probably not worth the cost to switch to the M3 bar right away. |

I'll probably just email you at the address listed on the thread if that works. Good to know, if I am able to get the PS from Das Ein, I might get the M3 FSB. Thanks |

What do they add to the mix or are they added to complete the full M3 suspension?

I know -- ancient thread I'm bumping. But Google searches for certain p/ns keep bringing me back to this post, so I'm sure I'm not the only one that regularly sees this, and this question seems too important to let slide:
Quote:
(I think the p/ns for the bump stops are supposed to be the same across the board, but I know that my front bump stops are different than the ones posted here - mine are 31336789540, not 31331096099, so either that was an error in the post or there are indeed also different bump stops for different vehicles.) |

31331096099 front bump stops were included in the box of bits for E82 performance suspension. See the attached scan of the parts list that was included in the box.
31336789540 could be a newer version or may be supplied for E9X 3 series cars. |
