Jack pads and wheel hangers--one source??

Guess I need to pony up for 135i specific jack pads, and also need to pick up a wheel hanger tool. Has anyone found a site that carries BOTH of these items at a decent price?
I found reverselogic, but they are pretty proud of their items.

On a tangent, has anyone cut up a hockey puck to make a DIY jack pad? How well does that work?

TIA!

M.

Hockey pucks work well. Reverse logic inserts work good, and have little rubber grips to keep them in place while positioning a jack. I usualy drive up a home made ramp and then place jack stands under 2x4 blocks.

Also, I replaced wheel bolts with studs. A much better solution than wheel hangers!!

Yes, hockey pucks work well as others have stated. I just went ahead and bought the jack pads.

Here is a source for $19 for the jack pads. I don't understand what a "wheel hanger" is. I've had no issue putting wheels back on.

I just cut blocks of 3/4 baltic birch plywood scraps. Lower grade plywood might work but I know baltic birch is fine.

Well, that's true. But it will cost over $200 to make that swap, vs. $10 for a wheel hanger. Since this is not my track car, I'll keep the bolts for now...

Do be careful with hockey pucks, reportedly they can shatter under extreme pressure.

I made plywood ones too, cut four discs with a hole saw, then cut four rectangular blocks that fit into the jacking points on the car. Drilled, screwed, and epoxied the blocks to the discs and they've lasted 5 years so far.

You can get both from Amazon but they don't come from the same company. Still you could order both at a decent price from Amazon and they will just ship from different points.

I sell them for $33.00 for a set (one wheel pin and one jack pad adapter).
