Bolt in half cage/ harness bar

I was going to put this in the for sale section but thought it would be better in the track section. If its in the wrong section please move it.

My name is Steve Barnett and I own Outline motorsports in Ontario Canada.

I have been looking around and noticed that people are looking for a bolt in half cage or harness bar for the 1 series.
I have designed one that bolts into the car with no cutting of any interior pieces.
It takes about 30 min to install and retains the back seat for a clean look.

It is made of 1.75" chromoly tube and is 0.095" thick. All welds are done with TIG. It uses tube joiners to make it a two piece design. Easier for install and cheaper for shipping.

I have been building roll cages for race cars and half cages for track cars for over 20 years.

Im asking $1200 plus shipping, powder coated almost any color, but for members here i will do $1100 plus shipping.

Hi Steve

I'm in Canada as well and interested. Can you provide an accurate weight of the bar with hardware?

Thank you
Mark

Subscribed. I am assuming that is $1100 US?...I also imagine shipping across the border will be pricey...but I can be a negative nelly sometimes.

I forgot to get a weight of the bar before I put it into the car.
By calculations it is around 35 - 40lbs.

Yes that is $1100 US price.

This makes use of only existing bolt downs? Looks like it bolts down to floor seat belt and rear seat rail points? Does it require the seats to be mounted higher in place? Very interested

What is the best tool to calculate shipping from you to me? I am in the US (WA state).

That's really not bad. Thanks for the reply!

Can you provide some close up photos of the mounting points, both the main hoop as well as the rear downtubes? I would need to be confident it would meet the standards of our local motorsports governing body.

Thank you

I might be making one for a customer this week. I will take close up pictures of it out of the car. If not I will take some more pictures of the one in my car.

Very interested in this over the AutoPower bar.

Mainly because it bolts into some of the strongest parts of the car.

I imagine the "punch through" risk - even if overstated for the AutoPower bar - is much lower with this design?
