Flooded Charcoal Canister

Has anyone ever had an issue with a flooded charcoal canister filter? About 3 months ago it was flooded so I replaced the DMTL and the canister. Today it was flooded again - and the dealer replaced it under a parts warranty (saying it was likely a defective DMTL). Of course, I find it odd it was flooded again. I'm confident I did the repair properly. The dealer said if it floods again the problem could be the gas tank, which I assume is not cheap to replace...

You're not trying to squeeze in a ton of gas after the pump cuts off once right

No, I stop whenever the pump stops...which is why I'm so stumped on this one.
