M-Sport
So, for those of us who own a 2008 135i, what is in the M Sport package that we are missing? Just curious. Thanks.

I'm wondering that, too. I've checked the VIN on bimmer.work and I have the MSport suspension, sport seats, M logo steering wheel, and the 840 code speed limit raise.

I think the only difference between Sport and M Sport are the wheels; Sport get the 264 style wheels and M Sport gets the 261 style wheels, and M Sport get an ///M on the door sills.

As mentioned above, the M Sport package has the style 261 wheels and the ///M logo on the door sills. The other big difference is the anthracite headliner versus the light gray headliner on the standard and sport package cars.

I had the exact same experience as the OP. Researched, planned on a 128 but saw a SGM 2011 w/ DCT. Made the mistake of test driving it. Half way through the test drive I was trying to figure out how not to buy it. Didn't win that argument w/ myself.
I've only had it for a few months now & still smile every time I get in a push the button. IMHO the 1 series is under rated.

Blacklines from Schmeidmann came in last night and, naturally, I had to put them in in the 20 minutes of sunlight I had left. Such a great update for the back end. Still need to take the hose to them to check for leaks around the gaskets.

Great look with the updated lights. I saw in the thread someone mention, paraphrasing 'nice look of the SGM', but your's isn't SGM, as you know.

She's at 86170. Already put 750 miles on her. Worryingly, she's already almost consumed a quart of oil in those 750 miles as well. |
