135i M Sport BSM Convertible in Oz

Hi all..Just picked her from the dealer late this afternoon.
Here are a couple of shots I took before it got dark.
The car is perfect except it is the wrong trim.
They fitted the bubble boy trim instead of the High Gloss Black..

If you plan to track? No

If you don't plan to track? Oh yea. VERY quiet cabin for a ragtop. My wife hates Verts yet loves ours. She says it reminds her of being in a coupe with the top up it is so well done.

Nice pics.
Stunning Convertible!! One of my favorites so far!!

I agree that the Gloss Black trim would have been better, but it's a minor objection, because the car looks absolutely fantastic!

BTW, if the trim mistake was THEIR error, they can easily order the Black Gloss Trim pieces and make the swap!!! I almost think they would owe that to you. Or go with the CF... but I personally agree the Black Gloss would be perfect.

Hi Tagman..
Thanks..the car is stunning.
The dealer will order the Black gloss trim and swap over.
I have told the dealer to price up the $ difference with CF trim..
Should get back to me today with a changeover price.

There is nothing else i can say that has been said about the 135 except vvrrrmmmmmm...:headbang:

Be sure and look at some close up pics of the black trim before you switch. After getting it myself I would prefer to have the aluminum. The CF trim would look better than either one.

Beautiful car.......congrats.
BUT with the steering wheel on the "wrong" side (JK) I don't think that I could drive it very well. I'm SO right handed that my left hand is there only for support duty. Having to shift left handed is something that I can't imagine doing with any proficiency.
But that's not the point of this thread and I don't want to hijack it. With each picture of a vert posted on this site it makes me wonder if I should have gotten one.........Oh Well, for now I'll just suffer with my coupe.

I like the trim. I wish my black trim was piano black, I could live without the sparklies. Your trim isn't even on the BMWUSA 135i Vert configurator, don't know why...

Break it in soon, so you can "feel the power"!

Cant understand BMW having different colours and trims for different regions..:iono:

Looks great, you must be happy!

Re: trim colours, I suggest the dealer stuffed up, the 135i has only 4 interior trims choices, two metalic alluminium and two wood grain. So I'm guessin that the factory gave you the "standard" trim as the piano black is not an option with the 135. Just my guess.

I think it is a pitty they didn't have piano black as an option, the carbon would be great too. Even better would be the carbon printed leather that you can have as a no cost option in the M3, it looks great (I have it in my M).

We ordered the coral trim in our white 135 and felt it was a choice of which of the 4 trims we disliked the most so picked the dark Poplar colour.

Awesome car, cheers.

Shark fin for the Nav and the big antenna too, which I'll probably replace. Are you keeping the trim?

You're right about the top down exhaust note!

I read you can buy a brushed aluminum trim for our 1's instead of the fish scale thing.

Hi Alpine. Thanks for the info..I guessed as much for the trim being stuffed up..
But I have seen a 120i vert with black trim..:iono:
Will wait and see what sort of pricing the dealer gives us for an exchange with CF trim.

Hi Texas.
Funny as I dont have the shark fin, yet have Professional Nav.:iono:

I dont like the trim at all..
If the dealer can supply the ordered black trim I will go with CF.

In Oz, the brushed aluminium trim is one of the standard trim options.
