Deciding you want a 135i is MUCH easier than deciding on colors!
I just went to look at the black metallic with red leather 135i on the dealer's lot *again*. That color combo looks great and I thought I was set on ordering the same colors. Then I noticed some other cars on the lot that happened to be crimson red and graphite metallic. Those two colors also look just as good. Between those three colors, does one have a higher resale value on bmw's? I'm very picky about the mechanicals of a car but I've never had this much trouble deciding on a color.
Another issue I have is deciding on navigation. Our 325 has it and the I-drive isn't as fun as it sounds. Other than the nav function itself, it's more of a hassle than it's worth. I'm also very tired of that legal disclaimer screen that comes up every time you start the car. I might pass on the nav and use my tomtom for trips. |

Agreed 100% -- SKIP the navigation. Use a map or a tomtom when you need it. Save the $$$ and avoid that damn legal disclaimer every single time you get in the car. As for color, I'm a huge fan of the Sparkling Graphite Metallic with black leather interior. That was the color combo I got on my 2006 330Cic and I absolutely loved it! Photo here: |

originally ordered sedona on black then changed it to sapphire black and coral red. The sedona doesn't look like it does in the glossy brochures

If you like other colors as much as black, get them. Black is a major PAIN to keep clean. I usually keep my cars spotless, but black is impossable. Even though black is beautiful, its like dating a model, constant attention is needed. Get what you want, and GOOD LUCK if you get black.

I was able to knock a few colours of my list right away. The Sedona was too brown for me in real life. I got black (how original!) but debated teh blakc or red leather big time. I have seen some pictures of teh SGM adn AW and they both look really really good on that car. I haven't considered a white car ever and think it looks very sharp in white. Hopefully we will see all sorts of different colours around!

I honestly lost sleep over what color to choose the next day. For me it was between black sapphire and montego blue.
If only the US would have gotten Le Mans Blue

I had my mind all made up,...SGM with Coral Red and a blacked out front grill. Never even considered Black Sapphire Met. Ive never like black metallics. To me it was like "If you want black,...jet black is the only way to go" BUT,....then I saw the Sapphire Black. DAMN! It looks really good on that car,..especially w/ the coral red int. Now Im back and forth between SGM and SBM. So,..I feel you pain! |

It is hard, I went back and forth between Sedona Red & Alpine White.
I guess AW won!

Saw a metallic black at a dealership the other day. Totally suits this car. For me it's between JB, SGM, SBM or CR... CR still tops the list, but the SBM looks soooo good in person.

So, you got the exact same combination that all of the dealers are getting for their demo cars?

In my opinion, most of them are amazing. I really love so many. I ordered Jet Black and have been second guessing myself every day! I love Montego, but I want this to be a car I keep for many years. Not certain I will love it in 5 years from now.
You guys won't believe this, but my SA threw me the fob to his demo Sedona on Sunday and told me to keep it for the day and bring it back later. I brought it home and let my wife drive it for a while and then we both just stood there in the street staring at it in our driveway. She looked at me and said "God, the Sedona is growing on me." It looked so amazing in the bright sunshine. The sparkle metallic paint was stunning. I may have bought it if it had all the options I want. However, it was practically stripped as most demos are...... I will make my final decision when my Jet Black rolls of the boat in late April. I will know if its the "one" when I sit in it. If not, I will probably order Montego, Monaco, or Sedona. |
