Well I dont plan on getting my 135i till next summer I am saving up so that I can buy it all at once and not have to have any payments or anything. So that would allow me to qualify for the savings on the 1 series if they have it right?

I was a member for 5 years before buying a BMW. It was (and is) a good way to meet interesting people, have fun on the track, and get a really great magazine.

Okay thanks for the info this forum has been amazingly helpful in answering every question I have about BMW's and the 135i even if they are dumb new owner questions I dont understand why people say BMW owners are asses because everyone on here is far from it

BMW CCA, cleary the premier car club on Earth, has reassigned my old membership number. Woo hoo! Extreme double-plus most groovy awesomeness. Thank you very much.

Sweet..congrats!! So how long a lapse was there from the time your membership ran out? Has it just been a year or two or was it a long time between memberships? (I'm curious if they will reassign your old number regardless of how long you've been gone)

An 18 year lapse. BMW CCA apparently recognizes fire-in-the-belly, thereby wishing to encourage enthusiasm. Good for them.

Re-re-re-joined
I've lost track of how many times I've joined BMWCCA. Had BMWs from '68-77, then lapsed for a while; had an E30 and rejoined; for five years; rejoined for my E36; lapsed in '98 and am now chewing nails over a car that is somewhere between Charleston and Cincinnati. So I've re-re-re-joined BMWCCA. BMWCCA has barely caught up with the 1er, but with so many addicts aboard they're bound to get up to speed soon enough.

rebate?
Where is everyone finding the BMWCCA rebates? I looked on the site and it siad the 1 series was not part of the program. I've been a member for over 5 years and gave up my Z3 Coupe for a 135i. Sparkling Graphite; taupe leatherette; sport package; manual

Great car club, worth joining even if they aren't offering rebates on 1er's currently (that'll change down the road I think). Roundel, social events, road trips and just a great group of fellow car nuts. I'm fortunate to belong to the NCC and I believe we're still the largest chapter in the US (MD, DC and NoVA) so we have our own bi-monthly rag, Der Bayerische, in addition to the Roundel. I've been a member for years and will also keep that active no matter what.
