Boy the exhaust gods sure threw up all over the 1M, didn't they? I think there is already more exhaust options for the 1M than for the 135i right now.

Would love to see the confused look on people's faces when they try to pronounce that, lol.

Special thanks to Jason @ **********s and Duffy @ Remus USA for making it happen so quickly (and at such great price).

Without further ado, a few pictures for all of you to enjoy!!!

Will post pictures and video once the system is installed...

On the drive home it was quieter than the stock at both low and high rpm's except when you step on the gas hard, then it becomes beastly!!! I didn't notice any drone but I couldn't hear/feel it on the stock exhaust either...

I went for a ride today and it seems to be opening up as the miles pile up. It definitely has a deeper tone than stock and growls and gargles more as well. At higher revs it is pretty civilized but makes an amazing sound. However, when you are at low rpm's and go WOT the sound from the exhaust is just unbelievable IMHO. I saw a ton of people turning around and staring in awe when they heard the car around town; they seemed terrified yet curious...

Special thanks to Marco and the rest of the crew @ Turner Motorsports for the perfect installation on such short notice and for letting me sneak into the garage to snap a few photos.

Without further ado, video and a few pictures for all of you to enjoy!!!

Thanks for the info. That's for the Eisenmann systems correct? Any idea how it compares to the Remus or other systems that are available?

Correct, that is for the Eisenmann. Unfortunately no. We also have Akrapovic systems here so I can have those measurements shortly. As far as the other systems are concerned we will try to get the information from the manufacturers.

I assume the majority of manufacturers will stay very close to stock OD and ID on all sections of pipe.

Borla Prototype Axle Back Exhaust with Mad Dad Midpipe Dyno Results

I will update the Borla post right when the official system is released. New post made by HP Autowerks-

Current mods are GIAC Stage 1, AFE Stage 2 closed intake and ER CP. ETC FMIC is next...We will then report back on the gains.

This client went for the full Evolution system, downpipes and remote valve kit.

We were unable to get video on the road

Any possibility that someone can list the sound levels in dB comparing stock vs each aftermarket unit both in terms of sound level at startup, idle, and WOT?

Here are the db levels for the eisenmann Sport and Race for the 1M. Sadly some exhaust manufactures don't even test the db levels at all.

Eisenmann downpipe back exhaust version SPORT (IM+RM):

Driving vehicle: 73 db
Stationary vehicle: 81 db

Back box only, version SPORT:

Driving vehicle: 73 db
Stationary vehicle: 81 db

Eisenmann downpipe back exhaust version RACE (SR+RM):

Driving vehicle: 82 db
Stationary vehicle: 90 db

Back box only, version RACE:

Driving vehicle: 78 db
Stationary vehicle: 85 db

The OE exhaust system has the same decibel levels as the Eisenmann Sport system. ECE homologation requires that any homologated and approved exhaust system have the same decibel output as the factory exhaust system. Eisenmann's Sport system modifies the sound and tone of the car drastically, but retains the factory volume output making it completely road legal in the US, as well.
