BMW wasted a fair bit of money on those adds. A few nice pictures, no real information on the 2 series - and a black paper bag. The weight tricked me into opening it, however.

They're just trying to get people to come in to the dealership and see for themselves. I'd say the ad agency they're using is a little out of touch with us "performance-oriented" owners. The M235i is pretty nice as is the 228i Track model, but they don't have a convertible version, and I'll bet when they do, it's a folding steel-top, not a real soft-top like ours is. We'll be keeping our 128i 6MT M-Sport convertible for a good while longer.

Thought the same thing, a pretty expensive mailing without much substance. I think the intent of the bag is to use it to counter hyper ventilating from all the excitement. Although I don't think breathing into and out of a paper bag is a currently recommended treatment.

Got the same thing in yesterday's mail. Even if I wanted to test drive a 2 series, and I absolutely do not, I would have to drive about 100 miles to find a dealer with a 2 in inventory. Forget a M235i with a manual transmission.

It's not really a barf bag though is it? Just a pseudo brown bag for people to breathe into to help stop them from hyperventilating, I assume after they realize how much they just spent on that M235 and how much better the 135 is. O=)

Yes, I know it's not a real barf bag, but I specialize in bags that were never meant for motion sickness and are more of a social/commercial statement, such as those passed out at movie theaters for horror flicks.
