Exposing FMIC...
Has anyone cutout/removed the plastic mesh that covers the stock FMIC??.. I feel like it would add an aggressive look but was just curious of what others though or have possibly done..

Personally, I'm trying to get away from the boy-racer look. The stock FMIC should be getting its needed airflow as is.

^^ I hear ya but how much is that plastic mesh really stopping to begin with?? A big enough rock could prob blast through that...

I keep hearing that argument but thinking about it really does not make much sense to me.
The mesh MAY block rocks from hitting the intercooler but the mesh is not tight enough to reliably block rocks from hitting your stock intercooler. Then there are the FMIC that require you to cut the bumper and remove the grill in order to fit the FMIC... Cars like the Neon SRT4 really dont have a grill in front of their FMIC, so they must be fine as well. Its pretty clear that you do not want rocks to hit your FMIC but with or without the mesh it will happen, removing the grill will increase the chance of this but I dont see this as being a problem in the long run.

when i had my Greedy FMIC on my sti it took some pretty hard hits... i drove the same route from NYC to central PA
After i installed a similar mesh screen the dents were mere nicks on the fins... Never again will i remove the mesh screen i do agree with u guys the screen def hides too much and looks much better without it
