Throttle surge on liftoff
Something has been bugging me for a while regarding how my car handles throttle lift-off. I have the 3SIM and AA tune, and when I rev the car over 5k, then partially lift, there is a quick surge of acceleration before the car starts to slow. The car seems to want to go faster (I feel a push forward) for .25 seconds before the revs start to drop. Could this be some kind of DISA issue?

I just installed my 3SI, but used BPC's tune. I haven't had any issues.
How long have you had yours installed? I wouldn't think it would be a DISA issue, sounds more along the lines of a throttle position issue. But I used new DISA valves when I did mine. Also have you contacted AA and asked if they've experienced anyone else with this issue. I'm not sure what all is involved in any of the shelf tunes, but I would assume throttle position would be optimized as my throttle now reacts like the way my old E46 M3 does when you would use the Sport button. Also I think I read something about AA recommending resetting adaptations when using the Simon tool to program the ECU. With BPC, they said I didn't need to do any of that.

I’ve had the manifold and tune for two years. The surge has been there as long as I can remember. Definitely more pronounced at the track. I think there is a later (final) AA tune update I could try to see if things change.

Sounds like a good idea. From what I've read, tunes have come a long way in the last couple of years.
