E92 to E82 Struts

Found air suspension from an E92 335i so I'm curious if the suspension can be swapped over? Do e9x and e82 have same strut diameter?

Yes. RWD only though. Xdrive won't work.

E90's generally have a thicker/stiff set of springs. This will cause an E82 to sit a bit higher in the rear when on E90 springs... Air suspension wouldn't have that problem.

I ran E90 BMWPS on my E82. Everything is the same.

Do you happen to know the diameter?

NonM E82 and E9x dampers are interchangeable. Spring rates are different. I'd advise buying an aftermarket kit designed properly especially if you're on regular, non RFT tires.

OK, so what is the diameter of a 911 strut? If you don't know that, and can't be bothered to measure the diameter of the strut on your own car (which is going to take what, five minutes?), don't expect to be humored. Save us from your stream of consciousness. Unless of course you actually do something. Then post away, because we will all interested.

Just a suggestion on how to be taken seriously.

Gotcha.
I got info from the seller it's 52.
Got my car up and wheels off. Lugs were impacted on from the previous owner. Had to use a Cheater bar. Strut in the knuckle is 52 also.

Sorry for the excitement, I just got the car
And haven't dug into the in's and outs of the e82 chassis.

Alex.
