If you don't have only already and you're gonna be at bimmerfest, I can bring/give you one of my extra 1M advertising posters.

That would be awesome, thanks for the offer and I'll definitely look into going!

If we may believe the Internet, you just moved to Canada and put the 1M up for sale again for $43.3K.

Okay PLAY_HRD, screw that imposter that tries to fraud with pictures of your 1M.

You know they can't put anything on the internet that isn't true... and I'm also a French model too! LOL

I can assure you that I'm sitting at home in VA and my 1M is in the driveway.

Finally was able to pick up my 1M's replacement, a 2012 Audi R8 v8 manual:

That's funny. The two previous owners switched to Audis.

John,

Very nice. How do you like the power delivery of the R8? I'm in the process of adding another car to split DD duties with my M5. I want it to be sporty but not as "hard" as my M coupe. I'm considering a 1M (at this point, more likely the M2 if I can wait that long), and the 997.1 TT or 997.2 GTS...I love the way R8s look, but do you miss the torque?

Congratulations, she's a beauty!

The 1M feels a little faster because of the turbo, but you really cant compare a 1M and the R8 because they are 2 different type of cars. I wanted a modern supercar that you could drive everyday, gated shifter, and looks awesome. I have to say even since its debut in 2008 the design still looks fresh. I went with the v8 because for me the v10 would be overkill and the r8 is more balanced with the v8.

Thanks for your insight. Love the gated shifter!
