UUC Front swaybar
So on February 27 I placed an order from UUC for a front swaybar. 2 weeks after ordering, I check the tracking number through UPS to see where it was. The tracking number said it still hadn't been shipped yet. I thought that was strange so I called UUC. They claimed the bracket to hold it on the car was being made and would be shipped out at the end of the week. A week from then, I checked the tracking number again and same thing. I call and once again they give me the excuse that the bracket was still being fabricated and would be shipped out that week. Now I'm starting to get upset. I give them the benefit of the doubt and wait another week. I call and same thing, only this time it would be shipped out by the end of the day or first thing tomorrow. That brings me to today. I call them and ask the same thing. They tell me it would be shipped out at the end of the day or first thing tomorrow. I'm in complete disbelief... I then cancelled my order because this is just retarded. I've heard nothing but good things about UUC but apparently it takes them over a month to make a bracket

they were moving their manufacturing facility, that was the reason I got when I ordered my SSK and Shift Knob. SSK shipped on Jan 16th, the knob shipped TODAY (April 8th), UPS say it'll be here on the 14th.

I'm with you one this one, there's absolutely no excuse for this sort of BS. When you order a part the supplier should tell you if it's going to be an unreasonable delay such as this, especially if they send you a tracking number which makes you think it's on the way. BS

I ordered a full sway bar set in Dec. I received the front bar last month and still do not have the rear bar. I only got the front bar after I called and told them to ship them separately. BTW, every time I call them about the rear bar I am told it will be here in 2 weeks.
The sway bar (at least the front) works well and has good fitment. So on the product and on the service. |

Good to know, I was looking at their SSK but don't think I'll be buying theirs. I've heard good things about their products, but I'm far to impatient to wait for months for a part that is already being "sold"

I called up a local UUC vendor I know to order a front swaybar, and he said to hold off on making an order. Apparently, a set of 335i bars he had ordered several months ago for another customer still had not arrived.

Interesting thread. Prior to this I'd only heard good things about UUC.

I'm Royally PISSED!!! I Finally got the freaking knob from them TODAY, and the screw to secure the knob to the lever has DRIED LockTight in it. I used the attached allen wrench to try to tighten the knob to lever and it stripped the screw with ONE turn. The screw didn't even turn 1degree... WTF!!?? The knob is very nice and heavy, but fu*k... all that trouble for nothing!??

That sucks. Did you heat the screw before you tried to unscrew it?

I hope you're just being a troll, and DO actually understand the significance of his post.
UUC seemed like a good company with a good reputation. Sucks that they can't even keep themselves together. News like this spreads fast, shame they don't seem to give a crap about their customers and their reputation...I know for sure now I won't be ordering any of their parts now. |

How does the delivery time of a part ordered by a different company have anything to do with UUC's customer service? If he had ordered his part from UUC then I would agree that there is significance to the post, however I'm failing to see what Company A has to do with Company B here...

I just placed an order today for an Evo III kit for my 128i. Rob told me they are on back order but it shouldn't be longer then a week for them to get them in.
He is not charging anything to my credit card until shipped. I have had gerat experience so far with them. I ordered a shifter for my E34 2 years ago |
