F30 Sport seats

It's getting hard to find decent condition sport seats for our cars. The few drivers side seats I've seen with intact airbags generally are pretty worn. I know I should have held out for a Sport Package car. (And I never should have test driven one!)
At any rate I'm looking at options to upgrade the seat or seats, and I was wondering if it's feasible to install Sport seats from an F30 3-series. Any thoughts? Has anyone here actually successfully installed them?

I'd think it to be feasible, you may have to do some wiring work to make them work, but it's possible. The biggest if would be the mounting points, but I can't imagine BMW changed that much...

I managed to find a serviceable set of powered sport seats from a 2008 128i. Driver side bottom cushion was torn and crushed. Passenger side occupancy sensor was disconnected, so probably bad. I found a nice pax side bottom cushion, installed it in the pax side, and put the old pax side cushion in the drivers side. I'm on vacation in a couple weeks, and will attempt the install. I found a thread on E90Post, and will be using that for a reference. Wish me luck! I will definitely report on the process.

I saw another thread on here that said the F-series seats were a direct fit - I will try to look for it later. I think you would need to make sure you get them from a 2 door donor car though. If you get them from a sedan, I don't think they would have the handle at the top of the seat to lean it forward so you can get in the back.

E9x M3 seats fit right in. I have a decent set for sale but I'm not shipping. They have that novillo leather so with the right products you can restore good as new.
