How much did you pay for OEM rear deck spoiler?
While I'll be picking up my alpine white 330i after the thanksgiving weekend, I have decided to go with the OEM rear deck spoiler as I think it integrates really well with the lines of the car. The official MSRP from bmwusa.com is $365 painted.
I called my salesperson yesterday for a price quote, acting like I have never checked the site. He told me ~$900 installed. I was like 'WTH?! Web site has it for $365 painted + installation + tax, do you guys need 5 hours to install a spoiler?" Now he knows that I have actually checked the price of the spoiler, he said he will call me back. Today he called and said they can do it ~$700 installed. I still think this is a major rip-off. How much did you guys pay for your OEM rear deck spoiler installed? Thanks in advance. |

When everything is twice the price here in Korea, I did it for 400 USD including installation and paint so 700 or 900 is pure BS.

I bought the pre-painted spoiler @ Pacific BMW for $268.
My local dealership quoted me $88 for installation. I'm not sure if that includes the adhesive or not, though.....as I forgot to buy that. |

I got mine for 210$ w/ shipping. Came Primed, but not painted. I had it painted for 100$. And installation can be done by yourself for free, or at any local body shop for real cheap.

got mine for $274 and got the Beta-link adhesive free. I posted a step by step photo how to in the DIYs, check it out or look in up in my gallery.
Save the money, enjoy the fun time doing it. do it when the weather is warm, maybe between 60-90 degree Fahrenheit! It aint hard, just need 6 hrs of cure time and 3-5 hrs for patience installing it. I took my time Good Luck! http://www.bimmerfest.com/photos/sho...4&ppuser=29566

They threw in the spoiler free with the car. probobly due to the fact that they were under the impression that we were going to buy a few more cars from them within the next year.

Yes it was a local body shop, about five minutes from the dealership. The dealership referred them to me, and the body shop took care of all the paint. It matches almost perfect...Im not sure if they have a dust room or a bake room, but the OEM spoiler came pre-ready...no sanding required. I believe it only needs to be primed, painted, and then clear coated...

My dealer told me that factory installation cost 130$ an hour
I was like "It's just a spoiler~130$ for one hour installation? if you guys spend 2 hours. I have to pay 260$!!" so I decided to DIY~ I spent 347$(Pre-painted and include shipping)~bought it from BAVARIAN AUTOSPORT I think it's not the cheapest price~anyway spent 8$ for clamps 1$for tape 12.75+tax for glue and about 1~1.5 hour for DIY~ DIY is pretty easy~ But I suggest to wear gloves when you glued~ cause I forget to wear gloves and there were some glue on my hand~ And choose a warm weather I did it when it was 35 degree Fahrenheit~cold!!~ |
