Rust Proofing in the GTA

Hey guys/gals,

I know most 1ers are probably storing their cars for the winter, but for those who aren't and are forced to drive them in winter, where would/did you go to get your 1 rust proofed in the GTA?

Krown is one name known for quality rust proofing, anyone else know other places?

Thanks in advance.

Not from Toronto but can offer some help. Often times the small independants do a better job. Go to the place you're thinking of and watch them do a car and get a feel if you're satisfied with their application. Yes Krown is good product but its all in the application. The place I used to go to (before they closed) would spend at least 10 minutes under the car shooting their product into all the little holes they could find before giving the whole bottom the "blanket" treatment.

I would check with BMW first. My dealership in edmonton said not to have any rust proofing done to my car. They come with a ten year rust proof warranty and there is no exposed metal on the undercarriage anyways. I think they even mentioned it could cause the side airbag sensors or something to fail, however I'm not positive on that. Regardless I would inquire with your dealership first

Edit: There may also have been some changes from the 08 models to the 11 models

Thanks for the advice, going to contact Maranello BMW and check with them. Is this rust proof warranty equipped on all vehicles, and transferred to new owners when ownership changes? Not quite sure you'll know the answer, but no harm in asking. I'll ask the dealership this question as well.

Thanks for the heads up.

RMP Motors. Don't go to Krown as they will drill holes on your body panels.
