Thought I'd post it up so people could have a laugh at my expense, people on this forum seem to be turning on each other on a regular basis as of late so I though I would try lighten the air a little. Not everyone i hasten to add, there is still some great posts on here by some knowledgable 1M owners, for that I thank you.

Not had any decent weather yet to try out my 400bhp+ tune and now the snow has gone I've instigated this bloody damage. Anyhow three weeks and counting, might treat myself to a little track day when it's back.

8k, unbelievable, any idea how they got to that figure? What's the cost of a new front bumper?

No idea yet Jezzer, I'll ask the body shop to send over the estimate for a laugh.

Oh yeah on another note the insurance tried at first to take it to a right backstreet operation, of course I was having none of that and quickly let them know my thoughts on this !

Nobody else other than a BMW approved body shop is touching my baby

Dear Firthy 247
Can I just say thank you very much making such for an entertaining and humourous post. I'm a new member and have quickly noticed how things can get really quite 'serious' on this forum sometimes.....so it was a welcome surprise!
Anyway, the weather/daylight will be so much better in three weeks time..........

yes I'm personally planning on removing my windshield wipers, for weight reduction and increase visibility, since it hardly rains in Texas anyways.

Well shame on anyone who laughs at your expense. You did however remind me that this is just a car. I drove mine for the first time today and was flipping out worrying (and thinking I should have bought a used 3-series). You are at least are able to try and put a "fun" twist on this unfortunate accident. As noted, you are not hurt and the car can be fixed. All will be better.

Just a little update for all those how are interested. Some parts are on back order, not in stock in the UK. It's going to put the car back another week they said.....

I can see this being a long drawn out affair myself.

Is this in reaction to the thread about how to stop people nicking your car?

On a serious note, I just cried a little into my Weetabix mini's.

Capt. Crash, your story and spirit is an inspiration to all of us

I'm not sure if you can trump AdvEvo's status of 1addicts unofficial superhero. With your mod history you could go for the nemesis role ...
