Thanks.

the stripes don't look right, colors reversed?

This is another design option. We will be discussing with them further and finalising the design in the coming weeks.

Looking good guys!

Diff Spool and Brakes

We now have our 4 Spot Calipers (as per rules) and discs.

Also the diff is now together with the spool fitted.

Sponsor is heading towards Alpine White!

Maybe our first shake down test on August 1st.

Nice. I'm not sure you can call that a "differential" anymore though.

Why a spool in the rear end? Wouldn't it be more beneficial to run a LSD instead?

I haven't driven the car yet. Having just powered our car up for its first start since being put back together, although not yet complete, we found that the DSC button has 2 settings. Hit it once and I think it brought MDM up, hold it down for close to 10 seconds and it showed the DSC off logo.

Not sure if this helps but will know more when we test next week all going to plan.

It's really a preference and the tech's here prefer the spool, we've always run them in our cars over the years.

Update

Some photos showing some updates on the build.
Boot clips on, allowing for quick access for refuelling.
Dash in, complete with motec dash and change lights as well. Kill switch in and working.
Refuelling dividing wall between boot and passenger compartment.
New metal lids allowing for refuelling, wiring and fuel out into OEM tank. Still waiting on 100l tank to arrive.
Also showing some of the fab work that'll seal the fuel hoses and lids into tank.

Still aiming for a shake down test on Wednesday.

Team having been working hard to get to this stage. 11 days until first race meeting - still plenty to do.

Sweet. I wonder what it weighs? Also hope they get as much as they can out of the engine. There's a few cars on this forum making 300rwkw already

Has to come in at stock weight and the engine is limited in mods. Weight can be made up using ballasting to balance out the driver and handling. What can be done with tuning, via the Evolve tune, is to fix the so called overboost function as a full time feature. The rules do not explicitly limit the N54 engine in producing its maximum power / torque in this way.

I think this is correct.

One step at a time obviously but I would love to see those Evo's scrambling to keep up with this weapon!
