Degraded performance from software update

BMW owners claim software update degrades performance

I think I read in another thread, owners talking about how early production cars didn't seem to have any/very little turbo lag while later production cars have a noticeable lag. Does anyone have any additional information or insight?

If you would venture into the N54 threads there is quite a bit of info. This has been discussed for some time now.
