From my experience, not necessary...at least at this point. For those who are not familiar a clutch stop is simply a big button in the firewall where the clutch pedal hits the firewall made of plastic usually. There is currently a small metal ring there.
The point of this is to stop clutch travel from being excessive. Years ago on my E36 M3 what occurred was that there was lateral play in the clutch pedal arm. When depressing the clutch fully it would hit the stop then shift laterally and slip off reaching all the way to the floorboard. The new cars do not have that lateral play in the pedal (at least when new) so personally I don't see a need for a clutch stop at this embryo stage of the car. Just my thoughts. |

our cars requires the clutch to be fully depressed in order to start, so no clutch stop for us. unless you modify the sensor or something to allow the car to be started w/o the clutch all the way to the floor.

If you modify the sensor and have Comfort Access, the car will never be able to go into accessory mode only when you press the start button.
