In the trunk. You should have a foldable pouch with the tow hook in it. If not, you need to call your dealer to get you one. It's a must if you ever break down.

small update: the body work is STILL not done yet...GAHH.. stuff about the rear quarter panel took 2 weeks to ship, leaving the car sitting there for two weeks.... bumpers are in, and large possibility of getting the performance exhaust as well!

Some items shipped from Germany may be damaged when the get here, regardless of how much styrofoam protection they have. They may have to return it and get a new one.

sooo FINALLY an update. A miscommunication between the body shop and BMW equals no performance bumper but only a 135 bumper
and no 135i rear bumper with diffuser, but this bumper. they call it the 128i sport bumper.... essentially its the 128 bumper with these two extra holes.... wtf are those holes? anyone? Everything is getting painted and O.Z's are in the shop and soon they are gonna start plugging everything in and hopefully the engine will run without any codes and crap. As for the exhaust, they said they got the performance one, but i wasn't able to check yet, so hopefully they did that right. One old thing is that the body shop found that they needed this s pipe to connect the mids with the muffler and that BMW has no idea what it is... sooo they are stuck there.... well this suckss..

OEM bumper mounted bike rack, I believe. If ordered (overseas - not available here) with the bumper mounted bike rack from the factory, it has two holes like this in the bumper, along with two color matched covers.
There's some pics on this forum with a person from the UK that has that setup. |

Where did you shop order his BMW parts from? Performance bumper would of been nice, and performance rear too! They ultimately cost the same, wonder if they just screwed up the orders... BTW... When your car is fix DONT FORGET THEM EYELIDS =)

bike rack holes??? wtf... thats soo stupid that i have that... i don't deal with bikes... anyone know if there is a snowboard rack that i can fit in those holes?
sigh... i would have loved the performance parts......... but just major miscommunications. i believed it was a major screw up on orders. but the eyelids are in the process of being painted and installed! so yay for that. As for my friend's is350, it looks exactly the same as it did before. if you want a specific picture, let me know, he's my roommate, but he did go home for the weekend.

Hey its almost there.... work in progress but when its finally over the wait will be worth it considering the situation. You're going to love your 128i/135i-look-alike.

How reputable is that body shop?
Hard to believe your wheels and CF spoiler were "stolen" .... body shops are in the business of selling parts like these. All they would have to do is then file a theft claim (fraud) Unless you know this shop, I'd be suspicious. Go check out the parts they're putting on your car. Are you sure they are genuine BMW parts? How can they screw something up like that, getting you a bumper with bike cutouts.... unless that is the only mould they had in their shop in China/Mexico. Hard to find an honest body shop..... I'm just saying..... you have to be on them, or find a different place that will do the job right.

I've checked the parts and they are genuine, and it wasn't the smartest decision for me to go to a place that mainly deals with lexus, with a side of BMW. My friend actually referred me to this shop. And yes, its really hard to find an honest shop.

checked the car today. everything is painted! but they started the car, felt violent shaking, and found out that the accident cracked two motor mounts.... need another supplement... can't believe that they didn't completely check the car.... one good thing is that i did in fact get the performance exhaust and all the piping issues are dealt with!

UPDATE. STILLL waiting for parts to come, but all bumpers are installed. Rims and performance exhaust are installed as well. I almost jizzed looking at my car, since it actually looked like a car again. Eyelids, fogs, and spoiler have yet to be installed.
here's a picture of my stance. shop says they still need to figure out the airbag light problem. Hopefully they get that taken care of and hopefully the parts come in this week. Once again, being hopeful that I can get my car next week. I think I've said that too much.

Man, I'd tell them to piss off and order me the right friggin rear cap. That's not the right one, it has holes in it for a rack you didn't want or need, the exhaust doesn't fit right, the center diffuser cutout is not there. What a load of crap. You're getting hosed by a bunch of dumbasses in that body shop.
