Why is there no upgraded rear lower shock mount?

This part:

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/33526768544/ES2580448/

is what i'm talking about

soft, degradable rubber

powerflex for example, makes EVERY OTHER bushing in a urethane variant... so why not this one?

i know the major upgrade is to go a full M3 rear setup, but for those who aren't quite there, or who just want to run standard rear shocks... why is there no upgrade?

AKG makes shock mount replacements, they are the only ones that I recall seeing anything similar.
I dont know if they are what you need.
See the blue product on this page: EDIT: Seems to be the TOP only piece
http://www.akgmotorsport.com/catalog...ion%2FBushings

Seems that e36 and e46 has so many options and we in the e90/e82 space are scraping for options. Perhaps in a year or 2 there will be more.

Alternatively: Turner has this bushing OEM replacement kit
http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-11...e9x-not-m.aspx

Turner Race application:
http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-20...m-e82-e9x.aspx

EDIT 2 - Ignore the following, dont think i am correct because e46/e36/z4 parts may be too wide and will need grinding to fit (compare turner Race application for e9x and e46)

Do you think BMW e36/e46 and z4 lower mounts will fit? I looked and noticed that they are interchnagable for those years, maybe the new e9x e8x part has same dimensions even though the shape is different( square vs the older round)??
The difference also seems to be the mounting location. E9x e8x is on the suspension arm, while on e36 e46 is its on the car body. if they are the same shape it may work, but untested.

yeah, that kit is all just OEM stuff,

my coilovers have pillowball front mounts

i got a powerflex kit that covers B,C,D, and i purchased the last one (in the link i posted)

and that turner race application doesn't fit OE style shocks, we don't normally have a spherical mount, just a threaded rod mount.

Seems liek the only radical solutions are left, both custom:
- Make e46 items fit
- Have a race tuner make something custom

Would you also have the same problem if you go e9x m3 parts, including different rear coils?

No, the control arm mounts to the shock body instead of a bushing at the bottom
