E82 Turn Signal Housing Burnt - Repair options
Thread here states to replace the ENTIRE headlamp assembly (650$++) and it's a semi common issue. http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/sh...-Housing-Burnt Anyone had any luck fixing rather than replacing?

My drivers side blinker did the same thing. I ended up cleaning it up with a mini wire brush so the plastic was not touching the metal. Stopped the "quick" blinking that the car does when a bulb goes out.
Would #8 possibly be the replacement? |

Just buy a new socket & bulb - it can be ordered just by itself.

Mine looked like that too, a new bulb went right in and works fine after scraping the burnt holder a little.
Is there a possibility it might not be functioning properly or that the new bulb will now fail prematurely? |
