Big thumbs up for Discount Tire Direct
I am normally a loyal Tirerack.com customer, but as I was looking for a new set of winter rims these past few weeks, I didn't see much on Tire Rack that caught my eye. I checked out other random tire and rim websites but didn't see much until I got to Discount Tire Direct. They didn't have the biggest selection or the best quality BBS, VMR, etc rims, but they did have a healthy amount of suitable rims for winter duty. They also had a good selection of Beyern rims which, in my opinion, are of a good quality.
However, I wasn't going for quality. I was going for cheapskate winter rims that look good. So Sunday October 30 I ordered a set of Drag rims (pic below). Today, Nov 2nd, I received them in the mail, along with a TPMS rebuild kit, in perfect condition. The shipping was 100% FREE, unlike Tire Rack's shipping, and it arrived faster than any of my Tire Rack orders ever have. Plus, most of the rims I looked at came with an instant 40 dollar web rebate, versus the mail-in rebates that other places tend to have and that always seem to conveniently get lost in the mail or denied. I didn't delve too deep into their tire selection, because I already have a set of winter tires, but from what I saw they have a good selection with everything from Michelin Pilot Sport to the stock Bridgestones and even drag tires.. though they didn't have many winter tire options in the right size. They also have a "won't be undersold" policy, so if you find anything cheaper anywhere else, you can tell them and they'll contact you within one business day with a new price for you. Even though they don't have the widest selection of the best rims, for winter rims or for Beyern rims, or for any summer tire, Discount Tire Direct is where I'd go from now on! Here's what I got:

Sounds like you got a good deal with some great service! You got me curious so I just checked out Discount Tires for some rear 255's Michelin PSS's. They are ten dollars more than tire rack.
Michelin PSS summers (non RFT) 255/35ZR18 94Y $279 (TR) vs $288(DT). I am hoping demand(and prices drop some over the winter months. My baby needs some new rear booties for Spring! |

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=619708 So far the rims are holding up okay. I know some people on the forum have tried 18" drags and they've cracked, but these are 17's and are cushioned by some thicker snow tires. The finish is holding up fine, but I already have a small chip on one of them.. though that's not really any evidence one way or the other. Thanks for the kind words!
