Tuning the N55 - is it basically torque (load) based?
I'm new to the N55 but got somewhat deep into the Solstice GXP with an LNF torque / load based ECU. The main tables were torque / load based, so it didn't really matter if, say, you put on a high flow cat, better IC, etc., the tables were trying to hit 260 FT-LB of TQ so it would "detune" to max out at that. You had to get a tune that would increase the TQ tables (amongst other things of course).
Is that the same on the N55? If you, say, put on a high flow cat, the HP and TQ will basically stay the same since the ECU will target a given TQ? Any good posts about the tuning tables for the N55? I don't expect to tune it myself or anything, but I do like to have an idea of how it's operating. |

Hi,
I'm also new to N55 tuning but have experience tuning other cars with COBB AP. Will be using MHD to tune my car and build custom maps. What are you using to build your maps, tuner studio? |
Appreciate
