Flat tire
I ran over a nasty pothole on the highway today and immediately got A flat tire signal. Went to my dealer and had them replaced the RFT on the front right. Total out of pocket cost is $380. I had purchased the road hazard insurance but I'm a little worried they might not reimburse the full amount. The tire has only been used for 1000 miles. What are your experience with road hazard insurance? How does it usually work?

I got a slow leak in a rear tire with 4300 miles (apparently caused by a nail) and due to forced circumstances had the tire replaced at the local BMW dealership to the tune of $463.55 - and they managed to pop the paint off the rim. http://performancebmw.performanceautomall.com/ Efforts to reschedule another visit have been blithely stalled so far. Also, this was after they failed to have a loaner although I scheduled the appointment two weeks further out in order to have one available. I did get a lovely rental Kia that was still dirty. Sorry, your post just made me want to rant about that.
I also have some sort of tire/wheel insurance, but haven't made a claim yet. Usually there's a number to call, but I'm sure you'll need the invoice for the replacement. Make a claim, the worst that can happen is they turn you down. Good luck! pge |
