Looking good.

Is the intent with these fenders to align with the 1M bumper, making it plug and play so to speak as far as the fenders are concerned once they are finished?

Or, will the factory bumper be re-installed and that little rear section attached?

1AddictsAnonymous These rear over fenders were designed using the OEM rear bumper so they are not meant to be used with wider bumpers (although you could probably still get it to work since the lines would match up)

you can see the design earlier in the thread. These are mold on overlays for the standard 135i rear arches and bumper. It is a very budget friendly option.

If you did want to make it connect to a 1m rear end you can simply take the same approach by buying 1m rear quarters and chopping just the arches off.

True but that's a fairly expensive route by comparison lol

Been thinking actually. Could get a 1m rep rear bumper and mold these in. Wonder how it would come out. Obviously not a 1M but it never could be anyway.

Subtle difference to make the widebody 1er look different.

Appreciate it guys. I finally had the chance to swing by the shop today and it definitely looks a lot better in person. Now if only my mechanic could get my seals back in my calipers so shop can start painting the panels.

the labor will be nearly the same.

the only difference is the parts. the 1m rear wont bolt up without rear bumper brackets and if you want to run a 1m exhaust you need the battery tray mod, battery cables, shielding, rear support bar, etc. and a diffuser and exhaust.

Awesome. Is that a pearlescent green/yellow?

project jayden What did they end up doing to integrate the sideskirt? Or were the pictures the final molding? Do you think the overfender could be cut down by the sideskirt to make an additional piece?

Totally. Due to the extent of modification + price of the 1M fenders I would have thought that would be a more expensive rout. I haven't looked at all the 1M conversion threads though, only a handful so I'm only familiar with the method of cutting the fenders about half way up.

With the way they molded it in with the rear bumper it looks like they could've done a lot better job where it comes in with the side skirt

Fifty3bags The reason why they did not mold in the side skirt as well is because it is a separate panel all together and they said that vibrations from daily driving could cause cracks in that part if it were all one piece. I drive this car every day. Around 80 miles a day so i'd rather not risk it. It will be done this week so i'll definitely do a photoshoot / videoshoot hopefully next week.

is the side skirt cut behin the rear arch? So you can remove it?

I just got my raze GT and the rear arch is also part of the sideskirt. Its probably my only gripe with that kit because if you ever go over something and need a new side skirt.... you would have to redo your whole rear arch.

Progress looks good. Im eagerly waiting to see the entire car.

ilikebmxbikes I'm most likely in the same boat as you with the kit being molded but i'm on air suspension so i hope to be able to avoid that issue. *crosses fingers* lol
