In pictures dark wheels always disappear and look darker than they are. In person you can see the wheel and the details of the wheel.

Would love to know the total cost of the "redo".... Kudos to anyone who has the discretionary funds for such a project! I liked the car white and I like it yellow.

I do like CF roof, very brave going with yellow.
I concur. While the car looks great, and a top notch job, I don't think it really outdoes the original so far.. although interior stictching to match the exterior color would be sick and pretty much take the ring. I think some other colors would really be better.. GTS orange. laguna Seca Blue. Indianapolis Red, Imola Red, some other deep (Monaco?) Blue for all the Bluebirds out there.. but that's all personal preference.

Are you changing the front lights to get rid of the ugly orange corner lights?
Yes, Euro lights will be arriving anyway now.

What happened to the rear spoiler? I thought I read you (Powerbeast) say that you couldn't with the new setup. So I thought CF-trunk maybe. But now it looks like you used the normal trunk. Why no spoiler?
Went for a cleaner look took the spoiler off and just went with BMW performance CF spoiler.

They just look this way in the picture the wheels are actually grey not black.

I think that color really brings out the angled lines on the 1M. IMO, some of the lines disappear with BSM (my color). That side profile picture (from your first post) looks amazing. Way to go with something different!

Are you stitching the performance seats in yellow as well, including BMW Performance logo? If so that would look amazing. Dont forget to change the height setting to the lowest before installing seats. The bolts are micro encapsulated, one time use only, so you'll need eight new bolts from Recaro.

The dark CF side skirts create a nice optical illusion whereby the car seems longer and more streamlined by reducing the visual vertical height of the car from the side. This really creates a sense of proportion more in line with the M3 and looks quite good!
