This makes me want to move back to a 128i lol. You're driving the shit out of that car... and you blow it up? Junkyard engine is <$1000. Auto shells are dirt cheap too compared to a 135i. I miss having an NA engine. These cars are great despite people ragging on them on these forums for not being able to handle yadda yadda. Been saying it for years just need a good driver and the car is better than previous gens.

This was exactly why I bought a 128 and stopped tracking my M3 lol. Low risk, just send it. Tracking is a lot more fun without worrying about a $10k+ engine replacement or even more smashing it into a wall.

We are back! Shake down was a success and my car seems to have just as much speed with the new motor!

Had an interesting end to the season. Went to Summit Point Main with NASA Mid Atlantic. First time at the track and had a great time but sadly ended day 2 with a blown transmission good news is I was able to source one pretty easily and we are already up and running again! Here is my fastest lap of 1:21.3 followed by losing 4th gear. Interesting way to end the season! Time to build for next year!

That's cookin, I haven't been to summit in years but I was knocking on :19's there when I raced bikes. From what I've seen these transmissions aren't really serviceable which is a shame, what do you think caused it?

Unsure but when i swapped trans I noticed a trans mount nut was missing. I was shifting it pretty hard so I wonder if it was just tweaking and I was putting a lot of stress on it.
