The Official MUD FLAPS Thread

Some people don't care for them. I was either way until I got them installed. They totally change the look of the car, I love them.

Post your pics of 1er mud flaps installed so that people can come to their own conclusions on different colors.

Here's mine. Was going to go body color with them but I really like the OEM look now:

And yes I know I need a diffuser.. deciding on if I want to do a 1m exhaust swap atm.....

It sounds better imo when you call them splash guards. When I think of mud flaps I see 4-wheel drives and trucks. Either way they look cool. Don't think they would look as good on my color.

Hmm.. don't think I've seen too many 1-series with the splash guard. At least, not that I've noticed.

Looking forward to seeing more pics! Looks good OP!

I'm actually thinking about getting splash guards because flush wheels or stock wheels with spacers kick up so much rocks to the side of the car..

I had mine but unfortunately had to take them off to get my rear bumper resprayed. They work pretty well although snow would always get lodged in there. Here's every pic I have with splash guards lol.

They're actually looking pretty good on all these colors. Might have to look into it. Any drilling required?

Why fronts only?
I was trying to protect the metal portions of the car from rocks/chips.

I had to drill holes for the front. If I remember, it was only one hole per side. Can't speak about the rears. Keeps the car clean tho!
