Quad
Ok guys, so I'm one of those people who drools at the sight of a quad exhaust.
I know that throwing one onto a 135i is kinda "cheating" but I've wanted to do this ever since I got my car. So Remus seems to be my best option, as it's the cheapest and supposedly sounds good too. Now the only thing about the Remus, is I HATE the tips with the branded carbon fiber inlay! It just look stupid and "showy". Now the question is; the carbon does't go around the whole circumference of the tip, so would it be possible to cut off the tip at the very end, 180 it, and weld it back on? I can't seem to find any other 84mm tips to replace those with.. Or do the tips slide off by any chance? I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't like that cf insert.. everything else about the tips is fine. Also, the reason I'm considering Remus is because the others (Eisemann, and that japanese one) seem near impossible to acquire.. |

I don't think anyone should be offended by a quad exhaust. It might be an M exclusive in this brand but you also have gmc suv's and 4.4L x5's running around with factory quad tips.
i have a bastuck quad and I would advocate going custom rather than aftermarket.

Funny story, i have the bmw perf exhaust on my car and just picked up the remus quad exhaust with carbon diffuser and im going to put them on in spring
you can cut the tips, however it might be difficult since there isn't much length to it, the new tips would have to be very short Last edited by rob24ert; 02-01-2016 at 06:12 PM.. |

And how would I go about custom? The body shop I used to work for didn't do that kind of work.. nor would I trust them. Where would I go? |

Try looking for a shop that works specifically with mufflers, majority of them will be able to create a custom exhaust for you. My local shop is only charging $300 for mine.

Idk why people are suggesting that I don't do a quad.. if that's what I want.
Kind of pointless. If someone wants to buy a jet ski, why suggest a snowmobile? |

AFAIK there is no diffuser available for the 1er that allows a twin single exit exhaust. Not sure what that poster was referencing.

Personally I think the quad exhaust looks good but is it just for looks or does it add anything?

As far as the 1 series goes, I think a quad exhaust should be exclusive to the 1M, where everything on that car is taken up a few notches. Just my opinion. OP, your car, your choice.

Good point. I don't think it does, but does anybody know for sure? I'm sure the OP would like to know this as well.

Another note, doesn't really look anything like the 335i rear end, specifically the 335is which I rather like the diffuser of.

Thought it was pretty clear. Price is close to 1300 USD...
Edit: never mind, forgot Inside Performance includes their exhaust as well. Not horribly overpriced then.
