TPMS Rebuild Kit

I have some new Michelin PSS's on the way, to replace my balding OEM PS2's.
Do I need to get a rebuild kit, if I'm using the original wheels? I don't know if the shop will be removing the air valve, but I can't see that being required. If they don't remove the valve, is it reasonable to assume that a rebuild kit is not necessary?
