Took off the front plate mount and found not two, but 4 holes. Ugh! Oh well I will need to respray the bumper anyway. Might as well fill the holes at that time.

Thank you! It was a haunted house so I didn't linger.

Drove it downtown for the first time in a month or two. Immediately remembered why I hate driving this car downtown.
It's basically "bump, crash, bump, shudder, bump, squeak, crash, bump" every 20 feet or so from the A pillars.

Just a subtle change, but I like it. It took some very careful grinding on the inside to get it to fit correctly over the door lock cylinder. My car doesn't have the little lights in the handles and I couldn't find a domestic supplier of the non-lighted cover, so I had to order it from Sc......n's in Denmark. It took a week and a half for them to get it (painted) from BMW, but once I got the shipping notice it was "out for delivery" in California 2 days, 1 hour and 34 minutes later. I can't get stuff that fast from Socal most of the time.

Drove it to work today and a co-worker who rides a BMW RR whatever (cool guy and bike) asks if I'm the one who drives the M1.
Pretty cool except for the part I had to tell him I drive a 128i haha.

If the guy can't tell the difference between an M1 and a 1M, he needs his vision checked.

Bath time. Except in the dark, because the stupid bay lights were out for some reason. Didn't get mugged, +1.

Drove the 1er to Cars and Coffee. Got a spot in the lot and jumped out of the car. Immediately a guy asked me if I had a turbo. Yep.
It's amazing with all kinds of cars parked around it the 1er gets a lot of looks since it's not that common. I get a lot of comments about the burbles too. Leaving C&C some douche flys up on my rear bumper so close that I couldn't tell what it was. All I could tell was the roof was gray. So I'm in sport mode and manual and I decided to find out what was on my ass. A couple seconds later I found out it was a new Dodge Dart. He comes up again. By this time I'm starting to get pissed. Nailed it and left him in the dust. I back off and he pulls up next to me and gives me the thumbs up. Was he seriously thinking he could take me? I had to laugh that a Dart was taunting me.

Me too, sans the wax thing. Next weekend I'mma glaze it and apply a few layers of sealant; should be good for a month.

I hardwired a dashcam to my 128 today. Stopped at Pepboys, picked up an add-a-fuse kit and a standalone 12V socket. Used two tutorials found here to drop the glovebox, find a ground, which acc fuse to use etc, and how to route/hide the wire. It came out great. Very happy about it.

Waxed car, applied Aerospace 303 to the tires, vacuumed the interior, cleaned all windows inside and out.
Tired, but happy.

Removed dealer installed from bracket which was way oversized and replaced it with a smaller bracket and a BMW stainless steel "M" frame...
Used a Leatherique rejuvenator and pristine clean on my coral red interior - I was excited to see what the seats look like after since all the reviews are raving about the before/after contrast... well, I don't really see any difference :/. |

Flashed the BMS pump gas backend flash via MHD. Super easy. Linear throttle response is the biggest change I like so far.

I put my suspension in a few days ago and then had to jet to Watkins Glen for work.
My ARB endlinks bolts are now coming loose though. Guess I have to jack it up and put some locktite on. |

Well fellow 1addicts, I am in it for the long run.
My lease ended two days ago and I just handed my SA the check to purchase my 128i!!!! I also was given a complimentary 2 year warranty! Edit: The front spring on my GTi buckled, so now the 128i has been given the responsibility of being my daily for awhile. IEDEI would be so proud
