Front Sway End Link install Question

Took my stock links off two years ago when I started the project and now I can't remember. Which end gets the washer? Strut side or sway bar side? I have to assume this matters for some reason but I've searched every thread and install video and can't find this info. Thanks!

I dont' see any washers, upper or lower end, just flange nuts. The upper(strut side) has the bracket for brake line

No washers shown on the RealOEM diagram.

Interesting, the original links had a washer on one end and the new Meyle HD links do as well.

This is Ohlins-specific, but possibly the same thing applies to other struts:

Nice! And interesting, it goes between the brake hose bracket and the strut, not next to the nut. I'll give that a try and see how it looks. Thanks!
