Why is it so late if your being shipping on the 4th? Is it because your doing the PCD?

Apparently it has to do with the schedule at the Performance Center, they said if i did not want to do performance delivery that I could get the car this month. It was a trough call, but since it is only a 4 hour drive, it is tough to pass up the opportunity. So it woudl appear ont he bright side that my days of awaiting transport are numbered...only 2 left.

Yeah, I would have liked to do the PCD, but I'm from Chicago, and it would be quite a drive. My CA and the manager of the dealership still don't have any information on my car. Its been sitting at the dock for 2 weeks.

IT'S MOVING!!!!!! It got on the Mignon!!!

Guys...This morning I check the website and called the 800 and still i got the same old. The car is at the port of exit with no shipping instruction.
I was mad..i though it missed the ship again.

So, I asked my CA who I chat with often, on Gchat...he checked the system and told me it didn't missed and was able to provide me the Bill of lading and the ships info...

So...get in touch with ur CA to check the system again....

Don Carlos hits Brunswick 4/7 - This coming Tuesday.

As best as I can tell, my car is on that boat.

Does it take as long to get unloaded off of the boat and sorted out as it did getting on the boat? (about a week in my case)

How long on average to land the boat, unload, do the vehicle prep thing, get to the dealership, and do whatever they do to a vehicle before its ready? (dunno, maybe 12-16 hour drive here from Brunswick)

I will be on vacation after Easter, so I have nearly 2 weeks for this to happen.

When did you talk to your CA? My CA e-mailed me a little after 9:00 this morning saying he checked this morning and it is still saying the same information. I also checked the 800 number and the web site and its the same "awaiting a shipping vessell" bs. I'm pissed. Two weeks on the dock. What the hell. He also said he's heard a lot of people are waiting for cars to get on ships...

Unloading takes less than a day, because the ship has to move on to the next port. After that, this is from harold's sticky (above):

I'm on a ship!!! Finally after two weeks I got on!! I'm on the Georgia Highway that left 4/4. I am having trouble finding a full schedule of the ship because its not one of the normal shipping lines I don't think. I have been able to find tracking web sites for it, but no schedule. But its on a ship and the car should be in next week

Its due into, I think, Baltimore, 4/14 or 4/17. My CA said its due in on 4/17. So I don't know if its unloaded 4/14 and it gets to the dealer 4/17 or its unloaded 4/17.

RBimmer, I've been following it too haha. I keep flicking my screen behind the ship thinking maybe it will move faster....haha. Is the stop in Baltimore where it will be unloaded? Or does it still have to go to SC?

My CA just sent me an email confirming that my car was on the boat docking in South Carolina today (Don Carlos I figure). He stated that it takes 5-6 days for the car to get here. His initial estimate of 7 weeks was right on.

Just my luck that it will arrive here the first of the week while I am out of town on vacation... (well, does taking my son on a tour of colleges over the course of a week count as a vacation?)

At least its here today, and shortly to arrive in town.

Got word today that I too am on Georgia Highway.

Now that I know that it is scheduled ot get to Charleston on the 15th, I'm going to see if I can push to have my performance delivery moved up from May 11...the extra wait seems a little excessive.

So its due into Charleston on the 15th. My CA said that its due the 17th, so I wonder if that means that the dealership will get it the 17th. Though I highly doubt it will take only two days to get to Chicago lol. But its almost here! Next week

The 15th is based on the schedule on the K line site. It is just a pdf document, not sure how accurate it is.
