In the same boat here - no MINI "Make" option, so I chose BMW and put "MINI Cooper S" in for the Model.

Been getting "application error" messages when I've been entering my production number in for the last 24 hours. Perhaps that's a development? bmwusa account pages are incredibly slow to load, and I got a few of the same errors just trying to log in as well.

Never had issues like this tracking on mini's site....must be the nice pictures

Anyone remember when the production numbers became valid on bmwusa.com last year when the 2009's came out?

Web site sucks! Right when I log in, it prompts me to update my password/address. When I do so, I get the following, every single time!

Sorry!

There was an application error.

Please try again later.

You may want to go to the Home Page, or the Site Map.

I've stopped checking 5 times a day. Please post in this thread if you recently ordered a 2010 and are able to successfully register your production number at bmwusa.com. If one of us can then it's likely we all can. Thanks!

Stopped by the dealer yesterday. I have a week 36 build which she said is the last week of Aug / first week of Sept but they typically start pulling them in early when the factory is up and running in late August. My coworker has a week 37 which I guess is the first full week of Sept.

I ordered mine yesterday, i have a week 36 build too. No luck with the site for me either, will try in a few weeks. My dealer did say most likely the build would start sept 1, possible arrival mid october. So until then i need to keep myself busy!

Looks like production restarts on week 36 (last week august/first week sept) I think the reopen date is aug 24 per the info on the munich website.

http://www.bmw-plant-munich.com/lowb.../en/index.html

I will try to enter my prod # during that week, until then i need to cxl my internet so i can actually rejoin society and become a product participant in life...instead of obsessing over my car!!

Cool... but our cars aren't made in the Munich factory... the 1er factory is in Leipzig.

My dealer had the plant opening schedule and the 1 series was the first to reopen, followed by the 3er. If the 3er factory opens next week, it could really be any day now that they start pulling in new orders for our cars.

My car has a week 36 build... Week 36 is Aug. 31 through Sept. 4. That jives with what my CA said... that the production was supposed to restart at the factory around the last week of August and the 1er was supposed to be the first model back in production.

I'm switching to Alpine White. I love the look of Jet Black and BSM, but read all the threads here about what a pain it is to keep it looking nice. Then I saw a BSM 1er parked outside my office building. The door dings and scratches really stood out. I was 50/50 between AW and BSM/JB when I ordered.... I agonized over it. I feel much better about getting AW now though. I'm still waiting on confirmation from my CA that he was able to make the change. If he can't for some reason and the car goes into production as a BSM... then no biggie. I could live with it.

I decided not to get PDC. The car is so small that I can't imagine having any issues parking the thing. I probably would have gotten the Smartphone if I had an iPhone. I've got an iTouch and a BlackBerry. The Bluetooth will be just fine for my BB. I got the iPod/USB connector for the iTouch.

Yea, got the production number and delivery date for ED at BMWWelt (17 october)...but still waiting on that VIN....at least the info about the Leipzig plant helps me (a little).
I was going to go AW -- which is awesome with that blue...truly alpine...but went back to my true love -- Crimson...

Update directly from the source: Factory in Leipzing
"Dear Mr. Mineo,

thank you for your message and your interest in our products.
Our summer holiday ended in week 32. So we restarted producing on August 10, 2009.

Kind regards
Bayerische Motoren Werke Aktiengesellschaft
Werk Leipzig

Stefanie Katt"

So not sure why we cant enter our production numbers in the Owners circle. My car is still 112 status too!
