best springs for keeping near stock height

I had and h and r sport they were horribly low.
I want springs that are stiffer but keep ride height the same as stock any suggestions

Not many options for what you are looking for. Eibach pro kit are about 10-15mm lower than M-sport. BMW performance are about 5mm-10mm lower.

Otherwise it's coilovers....

I suppose you could purchase stiff springs and simply add spring spacers to increase height....

Yeah, I'm thinking the yellow BMW Performance springs. Very little drop, slightly stiffer. A little pricey but they can be bought independent of the whole suspension package. I'm still thinking about them myself, just mad at myself that I didn't do it when switched to Bilsteins.

Here in Canada, last time I priced them which was probably 2 yrs. ago, it was $130x2 for the fronts and $140x2 for the rears = $540. for the set. I like your prices a lot better. Like I said, if I was going to do it I should have done it when I did the Bilsteins but I really can't complain about the Bilstein/ stock Sport Pkg. springs combo. It works quite well.

FWIW, you can get e92 dinan springs much cheaper and they are only a bit stiffer. I was in the same boat, couldn't spend that much money when the dinan springs were 1/3 the price.

Any reason why you don't want to go a little lower? I would normally opt for coils, but since its the wifey's daily, I went with the Eibach Pro-Kit in our E82, the stance is near perfect IMO (which is rare with springs it seems). I left them mated with the OE shocks, the ride is definitely stiffer. Good improvement over stock. If you're set on a minimal drop, then +1 for the BMW Yellow Performance Springs.

Where's the best place to buy them from? Used I'd assume? They don't seem to be available from Dinan themselves anymore.

this is why with HR sports the rieger bumper i installed was far to low and even with the stocks on i get uncomfterably close to the ground sometimes and im trying to avoid scratching it. so i want the stiffness but dont want to deal with the lowness.
i have koni yellows and i like them i feel they are great struts

Those springs are insanely low (are they H&R Race or sports?). Eibachs, Dinans, BMW Perf., will all be significantly higher.

Eibachs are lowest of the above and they are only 15mm lower than m-sport....the pic you included looks like it's about 40mm lower than m-sport...

a performance parts merchant on amazon has the set for $308 right now, a search for "dinan springs e92" will get you there

edit: I can take a picture for you today too. I have bmw performance shocks all around, also from an e92.

Agree, those H&R's are crazy low, especially for Sports.

here is before and after, pretty much no change

I've actually been scraping less now because of the stiffer shocks and springs, and there is less body movement over bumps.

Are you running the dinan bump stops and shock mounts they strongly 'recommend' using with their springs?
