hey Denver

I signed up on here a while back but just getting around to posting. I have a '10 jet black 135i w/sport package. I had started working on staged packages with AR Design but never got around to installing all the parts, part of the reason I didn't post on here earlier.

So far I have BMS dual cones, Standback 2 and put down 351hp/421tq to the wheels on a mustang dyno at Tobz performance. I have a cp-e i/c as well but its still in the box. Hope to meet some of you guys!

Hey, how's it goin? 09 Space Grey here, relatively new to Denver. Thinking about taking my camera out to the Auto-X on 4/1. You race at all? Not sure if I'm going to run in this event, hopefully getting my summers on next week! Mostly stock, but have big plans this year for the 1er. Sounds like you have some nice mods.

I don't plan on auto-x now but would like to take it to the drag strip sometime I had an Evo that put down 601awhp/591awtq on that same dyno so my 135 is pretty darn slow in comparison but I love the bmw so much more.

I am pretty new here as well. I had a 06 STI with about 360whp and recently switched to a 2011 135i.

Current mods are a JB3 stage 1 tune and cosmetics.

I go to bandimere often and sometimes to high plains raceway.

Actually, I will be at bandimere tomorrow racing all day long. Spectators are free, so if you have time you can come and watch, or if can get there by 8AM you can race for $90.

Be sure to hit me up if you ever want to go racing.

BTW, here is my bone stock dyno run:

I'm going to AR Design today to get the JB3 installed. I hope it's good.

So how is it? I planned on getting the Cobb unit within the next month or so myself.

I couldn't find the 351/421 chart so this is 341/410

solid lines - BMS filters
dotted - filters + standback

I've heard conflicting reports about the filters - some say they add no power, some lose, some up to 15hp.
Hopefully soon I'll get a chance to do a stock box to BMS comparison. This is an auto trans btw and I think it was done in 3rd.

Awesome, that's quite a difference! Where'd you get her dyno'd at?

Just got my summers on, bout to go pick up my baby! Went with 245/35, 265/35 running max camber with the vorschlags. So excited! Think my next mod will be OEM m3 front sway and berk race exhaust, prob in 2-3 weeks...

If anyone wants to come out to the autocross event, let me know. Its likely I'm going to be running. If you don't want to run, I'd be happy to let anyone go for a ride along (need to find your own helmet or borrow one at the event).

I got it done at Tobz Performance on 72nd and Washington. He's a good friend of mine that specializes in badass Evo's. He wants to get into BMW's so we've been talking about a dyno day. He has a brand new '10 Mustang Dyno with built in trees so you can do 1/4mi on it.

Nice to see a good number of us Denver/CO folk building up here in the forums. Seems like several of us have to been to AR as well. Thumbs up to Andrew, its great having a local shop that knows our cars.

I've yet to actually meet another 1 owner in person. I haven't seen too many around my area.

I spotted a silver 135i/black rims on Broadway-Mineral and a silver 135i vert, same area. A Monaco blue 135i on Lucent in Highlands Ranch Friday.

Was it silver or space gray? If the latter, that was prob me. I live over by 20th ave and Penn, so I'm always driving down broadway. I have black apex wheels. Btw, Cobb tune comes in tomorrow and TC Kline coils and e93 m3 fsb go on Wednesday.

Come to think of it, I did see a red 1er the other day...

It looks like Kristins because it has red badging? I hope she doesn't have the same rims, skirts and diffuser. I was hoping I was being a bit different.

Not sure, it was in front of me and then got separated in traffic. Didn't get a good look at the wheels.

Just flashed my ecu with my accessport, the car is def a beast now. Had a hard time keeping grip through second gear!

What kind of estimated HP gain? I did the JB3, 60HP claim. I'll do a dyno one of these days.
I'm not familiar with Accessport. Was it pricey? What kind of wiring involved? I'm not thrilled with the JB3 set up. Just because you can't take it off and put it on in a few minutes if you needed something done at the dealer.

About the same as map 3 on the jb3 I hear. No wiring needed; you flash the ecu using the obd port. That's why I went this route versus a piggy back. Supposedly 10 minutes is all it takes to flash back to stock. Got a deal from a vendor for a little over 8 bills with free shipping. Glad to pay a little more if I don't have to worry all the time about having to wrench on my car every time I have to go to the dealer.
