I see. Do you think pulling the camber pins would add enough neg camber in the front to avoid rubbing? I'm leaning towards super sports now - 265/30f & 295/30r (ideally 285/30r if they're released). I'd also like to lower with coilovers in the spring.

Thanks. Really appreciate the replies.

Thanks! Took delivery of the weds yesterday. Now I have to decide on tires. Then wait until April to mount them.

The bottom pic has the 9.5" in the forefront and the 10.5" in the back.

PSS are super tall/wide and 295/30/19 will def rub on 10.5 ET24 ... you should be considering 285 ... we had a major rubbing with 295 PSS on 10.5 ET23 wheel

Camber plates are needed in order to play with the camber ... the stock plates are pretty limited in adjustability ...

You should discuss your tire options with the dealer that sold you tires ...

I'm discussing my tire options with the forum to create a reference for other folks with the same questions. My dealer doesn't have a 1m in house so his suggestions are only guidelines.

It's actually not a very good idea shaving offset of your wheels ... it significantly weakens the center of the wheel and might break under heavy acceleration.

Remember this is the area that attaches wheel to the car and shaving 4mm across is kind of not safe ... It also probably won't help you to solve rubbing issue either.

it's hard to make a general rule what fits 1M good and what doesn't ...

I would suggest you getting 285 rear, 255 front with rounded wall shape ... maybe something like Continental Extreme Contact ... your rear offset is pretty aggressive ... not sure what the front offset is ...

What about the 326M wheels from Z4? Anyone has an idea if they would fit for 1M? The rears of 326M is 9x19 so they should be perfect for the front of 1M but for the rears our OEM size is 10x19 though I guess 9x19's could be OK with 265/35 tires? Anyone can confirm?

Here is a link for people who don't know or can't remember how they look, imo they are among the very best looking wheels that BMW produces:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=398287

It would be great if anyone with computer skills show us how they would look on a 1M

Also, I just noticed that the tire rack web site shows that Michelin Pilot SS are available in 265/35 19 now, their status changed to "in stock". Thought there might be other people who were waiting for the rears to arrive.

Are you getting any rubbing in the front?

We actually have some pictures but the car isn't lowered yet - it was using OEM tires just to get a idea on how the colors looked (the 1M got wrapped with brushed aluminum) - he's actually sending us back the centers to be refinished in black to offset the color of the car - but initial impressions are the 1M looks amazing with the ADV10 spoke design!
