Did the vr alter the world cup result?

Im a whiney little crybaby. Lol.

1. France players cry hand ball and the vr calls the ref where he watches a review to the nano second and a panalty kick is called.

Now i bring up a Croatia vs ivory coast game where an ivory coast player punches Mario Manzukic in the back. That player was red carded in that game for his actions.

2. Ivan Perasic was filmed away from the play and looking away as as a french player jumps and plants his shoulder in Ivans face. Ivan was lying down till the ref came. Would that be the time for vr to tell the ref to look at the screen? That would have been a red card and changed everything.

It ended convincingly. But where is the consistancy? The vr saw that hit.

Im curious to hear any thoughts.

VR is a somewhat flawed technology, it still relies on human intervention and interpretation.

No one out of Australia probably knows this but the national football competition here (A League) was decided by the VR. It failed at the same time a player was clearly off side during the one and only goal scored.

Nice. I could agree with using vr. But the calls cant be one sided and if so
Ething is caught it should be called. But not called at ones discretion. Its either everything or nothing.

Everything means lots of stoppage time. Notice how the ref took 4 minutes to stare at the screen yet three mi utes of added time were added? That lost time is valuable for any team that's down on goals.

Personally I dont think VR should be used for a missed or noncall situation. Only to determine a goal or severity of an actual foul thats called. You start messing with the natural flow of the game, any game, or things that would go normally unseen, it takes away from the whole aspect. Not saying that you should be able to get away with things, but its like big brothers always watching, I dont like that type of shit. Its like speed cameras and such. Human error is part of sports and life.

I was pulling for Croatia, but that was clearly (on VR) a handled ball in the box.

There is so much that goes on in the box on set plays that would NEVER continue on MY pitch!

He had a hand ball...and it's the refs digression to make it right. If there was any thought it might be, it's up to him to use the VR..

Say he doesn't review...no penalty kick...and Croatia wins in a shootout. How's that going to go over? People bitch either way...but the play was called correctly. So WTF

if croatia played better, they wouldnt have had to rely on the refs to make the right call
