scratch on soft touch materials of door panel.

Hope you guys are having a great thanksgiving week so far. I have 2013 128i and unfortunately, while I was getting out of the car in a parking space where adjacent cars were parked too close, I scratched off the soft touch door panel like in the pic with my shoes. (lower part) I don't know how I made that like that with one time for real. Is there any way I can erase that marks and make it look like before? I've used olive oil as one of my friends suggested, but didn't do any. help me pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee.

Have you tried using any of the vinyl treatments like Vinylex or Aerospace 303 Protectant?

rag+water anything else and you take the risk if your interior falling apart. the materials in this car seem to be sensitive to some chemicals.

Nope, heard about aerospace 303 tho. Is it like for rubber materials right?

I fully understand a risk associated with any kind of chemical products, but everytime I get in, that bothers me. I don't know what to do for real tho...

Yup, it's a rubber/vinyl protectant just like Vinylex... There are other brands as well, but I've only used the two I mentioned.

Is it scratched or just dirty...? I do this often: I'll accidentally graze the door on my way out. A soft rag with water does the trick, sometimes even just some elbow grease with a dry hand.

Can't help if you've actually peeled the vinyl.

This product works great for my scuffs. Apply 303 after.

It is scratched. I tried to erase that mark with wet microfiber towel, didn't work out. guess I gotta use what people mentioned here.

Thanks for your advice. One question tho, after spraying those things over the area, should I wipe out gently and that will work you think? and that doesn't harm the material itself right? sorry for a bunch of questions.

No problem. The einszett deep plastic cleaner should not be left on too long as it will damage the plastic and should only be used on troubled areas. A great all around general cleaner is einszett Cockpit Premium. Then use 303 Products 30350 Aerospace Protectant to seal and protect. You don't have to rub hard with any of the products and I would only use Microfiber towels/cloths.
