VRSF / ER Charge Pipe?

Any feedback on the VRSF charge pipe? I saw the n54tech thread that said quality was a bit rough. Heard the ER one was good but why do they have long pipe and short pipe version (mines late 2009)? VRSF is just the one size?

The ebay sale has me thinking about this one
