Which non-metallic colour?
I'm planning to get a 325 xi (with AWD) this fall. Just one problem, I can't decide on the colour. I prefer the non-metallic colours: Alpine White, Electric Red, and Black. They just seem bolder to me. But which one? I already looked at several photos of each colour, and I like them all. Does anyone have suggestions?

I love the Alpine White it looks nice with grey, black, or Terra interiors. I think the electric red is a little too orange and black is great when it is clean but I want to wash it every day and the swirl marks after a while drive me crazy Good luck.

You think red is low class? Please...saying red is low brow because its a more intense color is the equivalent of me saying you must be a Jersey ganster wanna be with your pseudo intimidating black.
Life is short...who cares what other people think...if you like red get it...no one would say anything if it was a red m3, 911, or Ferrari now would they?? Red is the time honored classic sports car finish and there's nothing low class about it. sports sedan = red; boring sedan = black. T e90 330i Electric Red 9/1/05 ED |

I started with the white, but changed my order to Mystic Blue this week.

I too like the non-metallic colours. I have had all three of these colours on cars I have owned in the past. There is no question the Black looks great on a BMW! We all know that it takes more work maintaining a black car but when it is clean nothing can touch it. Having said that, I am probably not going to get the black simply because I am a perfectionist and with black I know that I would see any little scratches, swirls etc. which would drive me crazy. I know I need to loosen up and not be so picky. I just had a red Chev Impala company car last year and I have to say it was great! But, it just seems like the red doesn't suit the e90. Based on the poll for best suited colours for the e90 it did not rank very well. Long story short, I am going to go with the white. I know that alot of guys say it is more of a girly colour, but I know that I will be happier with the white in terms of keeping it nice and clean. White is very vissible on the road and stays cool during those hot Ontario summers. I hope this helps. Please let me know what you end up deciding. Take care |
