Everything reset!

I took my car out yesterday for the first time in 2 weeks and everything was fine until I started it back up and noticed that everything seemed to be reset. Every single setting was back to factory settings and even all my music stored in the hard drive was deleted! I did notice that the iDrive screen took considerably longer to get off the "accept" screen than usual. The key fob has a battery that's only 6 months old. I haven't tried the second fob to see if the settings there are lost as well. I just find it really odd that the hard drive would be wiped clean too! Has this happened to anyone else?
