Anyone want a 1M hood buldge

How about this one from the Active E?

It's not my cup of tea but it should fit.

Wouldn't that sort of be like sticking a pair of socks in the front of your pants?

Not all Active E's have this hood bulge. The one I saw at the Welt a few months back did not have it.

im thinking seibon carbon hoods - dont know about the fitting/tolerances though - an aftermarket hood would only be cool if it fits like an original part

but i am planning on leaving my 1m stock anyway - except for some bmw performance parts maybe

I like it on the M3. I think,it would look good on a 1M as well.

To all people saying this would be posing: so are your quad exhausts.

The picture I posted is from a showing of the Active E at an event this week for future owners. I think it is closer to the final version. I was told the bulge is to allow clearance for batteries up front. I suspect it wasn't planned but became necessary when the engineering was finalized.

Since we are talking about the M3 style hood... how about these...

The PussyWagon’s M hood... seen at the Welt last weekend...

Carbon fiber hood made by Flossmann…

Dörr Motorsport's 135i racer as seen at the “Essen Motor Show” last year...

Are the pins required? I read that the icarbon hoods were designed to utilize the oem hardware... So would they need pins as well?

A hood bulge may be nice, however the ones on the pics are too large IMHO.
