But that whole argument really is a diversion from the fact that the ideal torque curve is a straight (horizontal) line. |

I've got such a box FREE, when purchasing my X5 second hand. And guess what? It is fun. I have no idea what it actually does. That's why I was reading this thread actually . When I activate it, choose one of the "mods", it feels like a different car than when it is deactivated. Again - it is fun. Simple as that. And I only use it when I feel like having some fun. Also tried it on a friend's X3, manual (just a couple of plugs and screws in and out). He didn't like it. Said it felt too brutal, like he is not really controlling the car's response. Would I buy it? I buy lots of things that make me feel good, even if they later prove to be useless and die in a drawer. So I would have, probably... As I know that any old speaker can become a bluetooth speaker with a 10$ adaptor, but I still bought a B&O with integrated.. Cause it's fun.
PS - This thread is mesmerising. So many bright people on so few pages... So much ego, so much "science". Relax, folks. On both sides. No prises here, no statues. Try to have some fun, or at least let others . As for the initiator - Thx bro. Fun read. I still don't know what this is actually doing . But I do know I don't care anymore. |
