^^^You will have to email Rick directly and ask him because it was slightly personal in nature AND because he does not want to use the forum to put his reasoning out...Prevents bad blood and is just more professional that way...

Also look at the dyno's...the numbers don't lie. Both tunes are great though. |

It's cool to have different things to try on your car. I thought things like user tourque adjustability were not for me....well...after trying it ,I now know I was wrong....My new sticky tires (tire) sure go up in smoke with full power going to them ...not so sticky with all that TQ...Now that I have tried it, I would not want to do without ..
The car is faster with the power turned down in first gear...I can fine tune to be right on the edge of loosing traction. I know I can consistantly get the car going from a dead stop.....without blowing the tires off every time!! And not having to worry about feathering the loud pedal....makes it eaiser to go fast! When it warms up some, as traction improves, I can turn up the power and stay right on the edge .I think a bit of spin is faster than none. This is not for everybody, I know...but I like this alot, and would not have thought so without trying it out. I will not be so quick to discount new features without trying it out first. |

Exactly what i'm talking about...this type of fine tuning makes it similar to the difference between adjustible and non-adjustible coilovers. It's not for everyone, but i think there is an advantage if you drag/track your car.

yes i love that it has the new user interface..im quite acustom to tuning in car with a laptop(vag-com and lemmiwinks, unitune) im having a really tough time choosing...i can get the newest version of jb3 1.2 for 400 bucks...not a bad deal..vs the new shiv tune which is 1000 bucks? lol dont get me wrong ive never cheaped out on a part when it comes to my babies(audi tt and now the bmw) one thing i hate is how terry dodges any question regarding how the timing is controlled and other questions i have asked...he should be afraid of people stealing his ideas when all they have to do is buy one and reverse engineer it so-to-speak
