M3/1M Subframe Advantages

I'm wondering what are the advantages of the M3/1M rear subframe are over the 135i subframe? Is the geometry better? Are there other performance advantages?

Let's assume that all of the suspension components/bushings are the same. If you swap out all of the links, arms, carriers, etc. to full spherical/adjustable, what advantages remain? Weight? Geometry? Track width?
